V J Day – 15th August 2020

It was originally planned to host a special service of thanksgiving and commemoration in church on 15th August, as we did five years ago to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in the Far East. Continuing restrictions on public gatherings due to the pandemic meant that this could not happen in the original format.

Instead, in collaboration with the Merseyside Lieutenancy, a special ‘socially distanced’ pre-recorded service has been held and is now available to view online on the church’s YouTube Channel. The link to view the service is provided here
